NON-INTENSIVE COURSES IN ITALY
Our Non-Intensive Italian courses are designed for people staying in Rome for long periods of time or people who already live in Italy. This type of courses consist of two-hour lessons held in the evening twice a week; on Tuesday and Thursday from 6.10pm to 7.50pm. Our non-intensive courses are also offered for all levels, from beginners to advanced.
The teaching methods used at our Italian language school are based on communication. Students actively exercise the four fundamental
functions of the language: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Particular
attention, however, is given to conversation, to develop in the student
an increasing capacity to express himself and communicate in Italian from
the very beginning of the language course. Naturally this method includes the study
of the rules of Italian syntax and grammar, which are essential
to language learning, but which, alone, are not sufficient for gaining
a real command of the Italian language.
Textbooks and all teaching materials (audio and video cassettes, slides, photocopies, etc.) are produced and developed by our didactic research department and are regularly updated with new information and materials.
Torre di Babele also offers an inter-linguistic exchange program with Italians, free of charge, so students can practice and improve their Italian outside school.
Enrollment fee:
50,00 euros (valid for one year)
(enrolment fee includes: extra-curricular activities, a certificate of course completion and “Tandem” service)

Moreover, the Italian language school is also a preparatory center for the C.I.L.S. Exam (Certificate of Italian as a Foreign Language) offered by the “Università per Stranieri” in Siena. The exam is divided into four levels and is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is given twice a year – in the beginning of June and again in the beginning of December. Registration is required one month in advance. The language school organizes specially designed preparatory Italian courses for CILS exam.
