A Free Visit to the Vatican Museum

God & ManI know many of you come to Rome looking forward to go everywhere to get as much as you can out of the culture, that thousands of years of human history has left on the grounds of this beautiful city. So did I the first time I came to Rome, I wish I’ve known there was a place where much more was compiled, and I could go and see it for free!

When my brother came to Rome, I went out to look for of budgeted way to travel and sightseeing with him. He was always passionate about seeing what other civilizations have created before us. I thought, what better place to take him than the Vatican museum. A lil’ bit of research in Google and I found that it was possible to go in for FREE!

In another post I’ll upload the pictures of our adventure in the Vatican museum. He got lost, and I was freaking out cause I had to answer to my mother for my brother. Gosh… I’m happy I found him!

Anyhow… here’s the calendar of the Vatican museum, not only when opens and closes but when it’s also for free! So if you happen to plan out your plane or train tickets around those dates and want to wake up very early in the morning, here is the Calendar of the Vatican museum of the year 2009

I wrote “very early” because since it is for free well, you can expect everyone to be there. I hope this information is useful to everyone.

  1. This calendar is very useful if you want to visit the Vatican. I’ve seen that they have the gates open in almost every Monday. I will visit Rome next year and I just hope this calendar will be still available next year – with free Mondays entrance :)

A very good tip for the travelers without a lot of money !

    Best regards,

  2. I took a visit to the Vatican last year in march. I was impressed by the architecture, culture and also liked the museum.
